Why RS Superior

Work That Holds Up After the Crew Leaves

Pavement is judged years after installation, not on the day it is finished. That is the standard we build to.
Owner-Involved Work
Projects are run by the same people who quote them, so the standard you are promised is the standard that shows up on site.
Preparation First
Base condition, drainage, and edges are assessed before any surface work. Asphalt fails from underneath, so preparation decides the outcome.
Cape Cod Conditions
Sandy sub-base, salt air, freeze-thaw cycles, and seasonal traffic all shape what we recommend for a property here.
Clear, Written Scope
You receive a written scope describing what is included, what is not, and what the surface should look like when the work is finished.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

The answers below reflect how we actually scope and schedule work.
How long does a new asphalt driveway take to install?
Most residential driveways are completed in one working day once the site is prepared. Larger properties, multi-stage grading, or drainage corrections can extend the schedule, and we confirm the timeline in writing before work begins.
When can a new driveway be driven on?
Light vehicle traffic is typically acceptable after the surface has cooled and set, usually within one to three days depending on temperature. Heavy vehicles, sharp turning, and point loads such as jack stands should be avoided during the first several weeks.
How often should asphalt be sealcoated?
Most Cape Cod driveways benefit from sealcoating every two to four years. The correct interval depends on sun exposure, traffic, drainage, and how the surface has weathered — not on a fixed calendar rule. Sealcoating is maintenance for pavement that is still structurally sound.
Does sealcoating fix cracks or structural damage?
No. Sealcoating protects the surface. Cracks are addressed separately through crack filling or hot-pour crack sealing, and pavement that has failed structurally needs repair or replacement rather than a surface treatment.
Do you work on both residential and commercial properties?
Yes. We handle residential driveways as well as commercial and managed properties including parking lots, private roadways, and access areas.
What towns do you serve?
We serve the fifteen towns of Cape Cod — Barnstable, Bourne, Brewster, Chatham, Dennis, Eastham, Falmouth, Harwich, Mashpee, Orleans, Provincetown, Sandwich, Truro, Wellfleet, Yarmouth — along with Plymouth, Massachusetts.
