Line Striping

Line Striping and Pavement Marking Restoration

Bring a lot back into service with clear stalls, directional markings, and access aisles after sealcoating or paving.

Markings Are How a Lot Works

Faded striping costs you usable spaces, creates confusion in drive lanes, and makes a property look neglected before anyone reaches the door.

Pavement markings wear from traffic, plowing, sun, and salt. Once they fade, drivers park inconsistently, circulation breaks down, and the lot holds fewer vehicles than it was designed for. Restriping restores the intended layout and the capacity that goes with it.

Striping is also the final step after surface work. Sealcoating and resurfacing cover existing markings entirely, so the layout has to be reinstated before the lot returns to normal use.

Restriping an Existing Layout

We restripe to the existing layout so the lot returns to the configuration your property already uses, including stalls, directional arrows, crosswalk markings, and access aisles. Any layout changes should be confirmed with you and, where applicable, reviewed against local requirements before the work is scheduled.

Timing and Conditions

Paint needs dry pavement and suitable temperatures to bond and cure. After sealcoating, the surface must cure before striping goes down. We coordinate the sequence so the lot is out of service once rather than twice.

Scope

What Line Striping Covers

Stall Restriping

Restoration of parking stall lines to the existing layout of the property.

Directional Markings

Arrows, lane lines, and circulation markings that keep traffic moving correctly.

Access Aisles

Marking of accessible spaces and adjacent access aisles as part of the layout.

Curb & Zone Markings

Painted curbs, loading zones, and no-parking areas where the layout requires them.

Post-Sealcoat Restriping

Markings reinstated after sealcoating or resurfacing covers the previous layout.

Surface Preparation

Clean, dry pavement and suitable conditions so paint bonds and holds.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How soon after sealcoating can the lot be striped?
The sealed surface has to cure first. We schedule striping after that cure window so the paint bonds properly, and we give you the exact timing for your project.
Can you keep our existing layout?
Yes. Restriping to the existing configuration is the standard approach. Any changes are confirmed with you before work begins.
How long do painted markings last?
It depends on traffic, plowing, and exposure. Lots that are plowed each winter typically need attention sooner than low-traffic surfaces.
Do you stripe residential properties?
Striping is primarily a commercial and managed-property service, but we can discuss marking needs on larger residential or shared parking areas.
Can the lot stay open during striping?
Sections must stay clear while the paint dries. Where the layout allows, we stage the work so part of the lot remains usable.
How much does line striping cost?
Pricing depends on measured area, pavement condition, preparation, access, drainage, and required materials. RS Superior inspects the property and provides a written scope rather than quoting an unreliable universal per-square-foot price.
How do I know whether line striping is the right service?
The deciding factors are surface condition, base stability, drainage, and the extent of cracking or settlement. We assess those conditions first and explain whether maintenance, localized repair, resurfacing, or replacement is appropriate.
